Heather Kindt

Award Winning Author.

Award-winning author Heather Kindt lives in the mountains of Colorado with her husband and two fur babies, Maggie and Bruno. When she’s not writing, she’s teaching fourth grade, hiking, skiing, reading, and cheering for the best team on earth: the Denver Broncos. She loves traveling and strives to include a sense of place in her stories.

In fifth grade, Heather was chosen to be in a creative writing club and still holds onto the book as a cherished relic today. She reads these stories to her students to show how terrible they are. As an adult, she wrote her first book after finishing her master’s degree in teaching but didn’t publish it for ten years. Her second book, Not Quite Dorothy (formally Ruby Slips and Poker Chips) catapulted her career when it won first place in a writing contest. Since then, she’s written in both the fantasy and romance genres.
